Kalispell’s Chance Wachholz captured his third Montana State Open Singles Handball championship at the Elks Club in Butte. He defeated Butte’s Brett Badovinac 21-20, 21-9 in the Final. Badovinac captured the Masters (40+) title, which was a combined with the open division.
Other state champions were Missoula’s Dave Montelius in the Golden Masters (50+), Billing’s Mike Meyer in the Super Golden Masters (60+), Billing’s Tom Morris in the Diamond Masters (70+), Frenchtown’s John Chapman in the B division and Bozeman’s Mario Stanislao in the C divison.
This is the 9th career state singles title for Morris. It is the second title for Badovinac, Montelius and Meyer. Complete Results:
